Here’s how I understand diabetes: It is a condition that makes you lose control over your own life. Then, you either establish the control over the disease, so that something chronic, that you have to be aware of, doesn’t interrupt life. Or you let go. We all know where this option is heading to. Also, a huge thanks to my family, close friends and diabetes community. I am an emotional jellyfish when it comes to dealing with life, so the support I got helped me a lot. Strangely, I had a couple of close friends who had diabetes and from time to time I’ve seen them taking insulin shots. When going to pubs or cafes thoroughly scanning menus to see what options of food they can eat. Jokes on me, I became one of them. I'm in a similar situation. My wife cheated on me with her abusive ex husband who for the most part was the core of our relationship problems. She had an affair with him that lasted a year and a half. While she was having that affair she slowly but surely erased my existence from her heart and her life alienating me and treating me badly. She says she did it because we were having so many problems.
